一、課程簡介:
The main goal of this course is to equip students with basic reading skills, such as skimming, scanning, reading for main idea, making inferences, and guessing vocabulary in context, through intensive reading of articles in their reading text. It is hoped that students will subsequently be able to apply these skills toward all kinds of readings in English. Students should also be asked to respond critically to what they have read, whether orally in classroom discussions or through written homework or journals. Students should also receive classroom instruction in basic English writing skills.
